February events:

The Museum is open 11-4 every weekend with mine tours at 11am, 1pm & 2.10pm - ring 01629 583834 to book places on mine tours.

And, for the half-term week from the 14th to the 22nd Feb we will be open every day!!

On the 1st Feb the 1pm mine tour is by candle light. You can see the mine as the miners did.

On the 18th Feb at 11am join Tony Wood for a walk around Bolehill near Wirksworth. Meet at 11am in the upper car park at Black Rocks, it costs just £4 per person and you pay the guide (please bring the correct change). Dogs on short leads are welcome.

Pop in and have a browse of our shop which is full of minerals, fossils and crystals. There are also lots of walk books for the Peak District from tea shop walks to serious long hill walks and we have OS and the mini Yellow Maps.
