Teachers and other Educators

The Museum and Temple Mine are suitable for a wide range of educational visits. Topics covered have numerous links to the National Curriculum.
A typical Junior school visit will involve a guided tour of the museum with one of our knowledgeable staff, time for the pupils to explore and enjoy the climbing tunnels and an underground guided tour of Temple Mine, followed by ‘panning for gold’. Pupils usually enjoy spending time in our gift shop too! To do all of these activities, you need to allow around 2 1⁄2 to 3 hours. You may need longer for larger groups.
